A Song of Arrival, #1
Ah, sweet Earth
I have come for you
Womb World Earth
Above your shimmering air
I sing to you
For already am I in love,
In love with you stretched out watery warm blue beneath me
I laugh a little too much
I am giddy for the delight of you who pulled me through so much space
my tears catch the light of your yellowy mild sun
As her light flames across your face, oh Earth,
And parting the breath of your life in its swirls and maskings of blue and white
A young woman you are, Earth
Whose green eyes invite my life
To touch your brown belly of soil
And I cup you in my hands, descending
From Home I have bent the light
I have sung to the stars
And wrestled with God,
Whose body have I caressed,
Yea, pushed
To make the journey
To you, Earth
where the stars stretch out a different pattern
where worshippers are ready
Ready for God
Ready to play in the cosmos
